Indrajith Boyagoda

Former Executive Vice President

Senior banker with c. 30 years of experience in Banking and Finance and is a Masters in Economics from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. Having entered Citibank N.A. Colombo in 1993 as a Management Trainee, became Vice President – Country Treasurer in 2004 and moved to the Middle East and joined its Saudi franchise in 2006 and left in 2012 as the Audit Program Director - Treasury and Capital Markets after which joined Nations Trust Bank Sri Lanka as the Executive Vice President – Treasury and Investment Banking and continued till retirement in 2021.

He was also a part-time faculty of the Masters in Economics program at the University of Colombo during the years 2004/5 and 2005/6.

Charles Han

Charles is currently a Director at BMO Capital Markets within FICC Sales and Trading, and has had an extensive international career in finance having worked in HK, Singapore, NY and London spanning over 20 years within sales and trading in FX and Rates markets advising and covering the largest global asset managers, macro hedge funds, Central Banks and Sovereign Wealth Funds. A life long learner, he’s recently completed a MSc. in Fin Tech at HKUST – a highly ranked school according to the FT and completed his Bachelor of Science at Carnegie Mellon University in Industrial Management and Economics.   

John Luk

Head of FX Linear & Emerging Markets Trading, Hong Kong

Credit Agricole CIB

John Luk is Head of FX Linear & Emerging Markets Trading for Credit Agricole CIB Hong Kong. He is responsible for the banks’ EM Asia FX & Rates franchise and G10 FX franchise in Hong Kong.

Mr. Luk has spent the past 14 years trading Asia FX and Rates products in CACIB. Prior to this, he was an Asia FX trader in Standard Chartered Bank.

Mr. Luk holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance from the University of Hong Kong and Masters of Science in Investment Management from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Alexandre Kech has 20+ years of experience in the capital market industry. From global custody and asset servicing at the Bank of New York Mellon to data standardisation and Head of Securities & FX APAC at SWIFT, Alex has developed a strong post-trade industry leadership experience, extended in recent years to digital assets and blockchain.

Alexandre transitioned to a new challenge in November 2018 when he joined Onchain Custodian as the CEO of the company in charge of building and launching, with Da Hongfei (Chair of the Board), Raymond Cheong (CSO) and El Lee (COO), an institutional digital custody service in Singapore. The solution is live since April 2019.

Onchain Custodian believes in solving non-competitive industry issues through collaboration. Alexandre is the co-chair of the Global Digital Finance (GDF) Custody working group and is the convenor of the ISO TC68 / SC8 / WG3 building an international standard for Digital Token Identification.

Rahul Bajaj

Head of South Asian FX & Rates Product


Rahul is responsible for growth of SGX’s South Asian foreign exchange and rates business, where he drives new product development and adoption, strategy & rollout of listed FX and rates products along with managing key client relationships.

Rahul joined SGX in May 2020. Previously, he managed a discretionary global macro portfolio at Millennium Capital for 8 years, and has also worked in senior sales roles, managing institutional client relationships across Bank of America (London), Morgan Stanley (Hong Kong) and Deutsche Bank (Mumbai).

Rahul holds a B.Tech - M.Tech (Dual Degree) in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and an MBA degree from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.

Thomas Barton

Chief Operating Officer

Aralian Capital

THOMAS BARTON is the Chief Operating Officer and founding member of Aralian Capital. With over 15 years’ experience in hedge fund institutions, Thomas has a diverse skillset across middle office, risk, compliance, fund marketing and due diligence functions.

Prior to joining Aralian, Thomas worked with Tudor Capital for 12 years and most recently as head of their Singapore office. Thomas has detailed knowledge of a wide range of markets across Asia, including insight into each market’s unique access routes and restrictions. He is also well versed in a variety of macro products, including FX, rates, equities, and their derivatives.

Thomas began his career at Barclays Capital as an associate on the London Metal Exchange clearing floor.

Brett Reeves

Standard Chartered Bank

With over 15 years of derivatives background, Brett joined Standard Chartered in 2013, to assist in the build out of the banks’ Prime Services business which provides financial institutions and corporate clients with access to Interest Rate, Foreign Exchange and Fixed Income Prime Brokerage and central clearing facilities. SCB Prime Services assists client to optimise their derivatives exposures, delivering efficient margining and assisting them to understand and comply with the new regulatory environment. Prior to joining the Standard Chartered, Brett occupied similar roles at both Commerzbank and Citigroup where he was based in Europe.
