Sanjay Mathur joined ANZ as the Chief Economist for South East Asia and India in 2017. Prior to joining, Sanjay was the Head of Economics Research (Asia ex-Japan) where he led research teams across economics, foreign exchange, rates and credit. Prior to this he held senior economic roles at Barclays and UBS.


Sanjay has an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Delhi and a Masters in Economics and Finance from the University of Rochester, New York

Divya Devesh

Head, ASEAN & South-Asia FX research

Standard Chartered

Divya is Head of ASEAN & South-Asia FX research for Standard Chartered Bank, based in Singapore. He joined Standard Chartered in 2010 and provides views on the latest developments in FX markets. He also recommends trade ideas and hedging strategies for institutional and corporate clients. He is quoted regularly in the media on financial-market developments. Prior to his current role, he was a G10 FX strategist for the Bank. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, and an MBA from Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. He is also a CFA charterholder.

Mitul Kotecha

Based out of Singapore, Mitul Kotecha is a TD Securities Senior Emerging Markets Strategist with a wealth of experience. His career as a strategist and economist extends over 25 years and across offices in London, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Prior to joining TD Securities, Mitul held the position of Head of FX and Rates Strategy for Asia-Pacific at Barclays, and prior to that, served as Head of Global FX Strategy and Head of Asia Research at Credit Agricole CIB.

Mitul has developed strong client relationships across the region focusing on Asian macro strategy and global emerging markets. His coverage of financial products spans bonds, interest rates, equities, and foreign exchange. Mitul has been highly ranked in various FX research and forecasting polls including FX Week, Bloomberg, Reuters, and Asiamoney.

He is a frequent speaker at various economic and financial global conferences, is regularly consulted by the media for views on markets and economies, has given a TEDX talk, and authored the book “Chronology Of A Crisis.” Mitul has appeared on business channels such as CNBC and Bloomberg TV and is regularly quoted in the Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, Reuters, Bloomberg, Associated Press, and Dow Jones.

Mitul holds a Masters of Science Degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Warwick and an Honours Degree in Economics.

 

Iris Pang

Chief Economist, Greater China

ING Bank

Iris Pang joined ING in June 2017 as economist for Greater China. She is responsible for research on the macro-economic and industry trends in the Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Research reports from Iris are shared with ING clients on a regular basis. She is also often interviewed by the media and invited to contribute regular commentary.  

Before joining ING, Iris held a similar position at Natixis between January 2016 and June 2017. Prior to that, she was with OCBC Wing Hang Bank in a similar role for almost a decade.

Iris holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), Masters in Commerce (first class honours) from the University of Auckland, and a Bachelor degree in Economics from the University of New South Wales.

Iris was an instructor at the Summer School for Applied Econometric of HKUST and taught distance learning programme on Modern China Economy at the Open University of Hong Kong.

Keeve Tan

Keeve has been with OCBC since 2018 and is currently the Head of Futures, FX & CFD for OCBC Securities. He looks after more than 30 people over the three business lines, where he oversees the growth and development of the cleared Futures, OTC FX and Contract for Differences (CFD) businesses.

Prior to joining OCBC, he was most recently the Director of Sales at UOB Global Markets, looking after the global Business Development of listed derivatives and OTC clearing for UOB. Keeve was before that, a trader in proprietary trading firms, heading market-making desks and algorithmic trading desks. His buy-side experience coupled with his current role in the sell-side gives him a wholesome view of the industry and its developments.

Keeve is married and has a daughter. He holds a BSc with honors from the Nanyang Technological University and graduated with an MBA on the Dean's List from the Singapore Management University. He has also completed his Executive Education at INSEAD.

Martin Haines

Martin joined Kx in 2013, as Managing Director Asia, with 30 years of experience in the financial markets. Martin has the responsibility to establish and build the Asia regional footprint, which now includes offices and clients in Tokyo, Korea, Hong Kong and Singapore, supported by 180 kdb+ Asia based consultants. Formerly at Thomson-Reuters for over 17 years, Martin had a variety of diverse roles. Running UK sales, establishing two external joint ventures for foreign exchange trading, reference data management and launching a fixed income trading platform. Martin then moved to Singapore with responsibility for regional sales, business development and strategy.

Lam Kok Chong

Mr Lam Kok Chong joined SGX as Vice President and Sales Director of Fixed Income & Currencies in October 2013. 

Mr Lam is now the Head of FX & Rates in SGX. He is responsible for the developing and rolling out FX and Rates products as well as strategic sales and market initiatives for FX & Rates globally, focusing on winning key strategic accounts for the asset class.

Mr Lam joined SGX from CME Group, where he was Executive Director heading the FX / OTC Business Line Management in Asia. Prior to CME Group, Mr Lam was Head of Sales for EBS Asia (ICAP E-Broking, now known as NEX group), where he led the firm's new and existing product sales efforts throughout the Asia Pacific.

Mr Lam also previously held regional leadership positions with Siebel Systems and Commerce One and consulting roles with Oracle Corporation and Booz-Allen & Hamilton.

Vineet Sahai

Vineet is the head of FX Trading in Asia for Intesa Sanpaolo. He is responsible for building the cash and derivatives business in Asia for Intesa Sanpaolo, He has 13 years of experience in the field of FX, having started as a derivatives trader with Deutsche Bank in London in 2008. Apart from various stints in banks trading FX and derivatives, he was also strategy director for a unicorn startup in India and worked alongside the founder CEO to grow the business 10 fold in a year. He brings the structured world of capital markets along with the mix of having worked in fast changing startup environment together to adapt to new challenges in the financial industry. He graduated from IIT and holds an MBA from IIM Bangalore.

28 year veteran in the asset management industry, Daniel started off his career in Europe with Nomura International in the early nineties and has been instrumental in the first ever Chinese equity investments of major European institutions, from mutual funds, insurances to sovereign wealth funds. Daniel subsequently founded Tripod Management in 1999, focusing in alternative investment strategies. Over the years, Daniel has established himself as one of the pioneers in hedge fund investing in Asia, allocated to over 100 hedge funds globally and in the region. Daniel currently runs the Tripod BoLe platform, an initiative he founded in 2020 to empower and showcase emerging Asian investment talents to the world. Daniel was made a CFA charterholder since 2000 and has also been a part time lecturer at the Open University of Hong Kong. Daniel earned his Bachelor and Master degrees at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and SDA Bocconi in Milan, Italy respectively upon graduating from St. Joseph’s College in Hong Kong.

John Lucey

As CIO at Avant Mutual Group, John has primary responsibility for managing Avant’s investments. Leading the investment team in delivering an investment strategy, including portfolio construction, manager selection and asset allocation activities.

Prior to joining Avant, John spent over 10 years working for ING Investment Management and later ANZ Wealth responsible for managing teams that provided asset allocation and currency management active overlay expertise, portfolio execution, dealing across products and services within Australia, New Zealand and Asia.

John has been in the investment industry since 1999 and his previous experience includes working with Bank of Ireland Asset Management (Dublin), where he led teams and held various positions in portfolio management and execution with specialist responsibility for active currency management.

Prior to OCBC Securities, he was a FX options trader at Citibank and Barclays Capital where he was responsible for the pricing and risk management of the G10 portfolios. He also has experience as a sales-trader for listed derivatives.

Katsuki has a B.A. in Astrophysics from the University of California, Berkeley.

Before joining LCH in 2021, he spent nine years in senior strategic roles at Citi, including Head of Clearing and FX Prime Brokerage in APAC. During his tenure, Rohit also represented Citi at various Asian exchange risk committees and workgroups. Prior to this, he was Deutsche Bank’s APAC Head of Risk Management, overseeing market and counterparty risk management for their asset management business.

Alex also oversees controls and governance items for the global electronic Macro business.

Alex joined Credit Suisse Singapore in 2012, from BNP Paribas Singapore and London offices. He was a principal eFX book-runner for 13 years, making markets in FX, NDF and Metals, and dealing in both OTC and Listed products. He specializes in the quantitative design and optimization of low-latency pricing, risk-management, and execution trading algorithms. His expertise also includes formulating distribution strategies across channels and venues in order to maximize client engagement and returns. Over the years he has sponsored key strategic initiatives including an electronic NDF buildout.

Alex holds a MSc in Mathematical Engineering from Ecole Centrale de Lyon in France. Outside of work, Alex is passionate about cutting-edge innovation in technology and science.
